Can I purchase modules for my house?
Yes, in the United States. Beginning in 2009, First Solar modules will be available for residential and small commercial applications through SolarCity, a leading residential and small commercial solar power and solar leasing company in the United States. SolarCity currently serves Arizona, California and Oregon and plans to expand into additional states in 2009 and 2010. Please visit our residential rooftop application page for more information. First Solar modules are not available for residential and small commercial applications outside of the United States.
Can I purchase modules from First Solar's customers?
Yes. If you are interested in the development of grid-connected solar power plant applications up to tens of megawatts within Europe, or North America, please contact our developers and integrators authorized to design, install, and sell systems utilizing First Solar PV Modules. If you are interested in residential or small commercial applications in the United States, please visit our residential rooftop application page.
How much do First Solar modules cost?
First Solar partners with a select group of companies in order to provide clean, renewable electricity at competitive prices. We currently do not publish a price list or disclose price information for individual projects.
What applications do First Solar modules support?
At this time, our sales are concentrated to a select group of system integrators, independent power project developers, and utility companies for the development of commercial, grid-connected solar power plant applications and residential and small commercial applications. We currently do not offer our module products for building integrated (BIPV), low voltage or off-grid applications.
Is First Solar backed by local, national or global distributors or wholesalers?
No. First Solar partners with a select group of companies in order to provide clean, renewable electricity at competitive prices. We currently do not sell to distributors, wholesalers, resellers or installers.
Does First Solar provide project specific design support or technical services to non-customers?
No. First Solar manufactures solar modules and does not provide project specific system design support or technical services to non-customers. We recommend you contact one of the following resources for assistance:
How do I apply for a job with First Solar?
If you are interested in applying for a position with us, please visit the ‘Careers’ section of our website. From there, you can search job postings, submit your application and attach a resume. The information you submit will be sent to our internal Human Resources and Recruiting department at the appropriate First Solar site for consideration.
Does First Solar offer public tours of its factories?
No, we currently do not offer public tours of our factories. We are establishing procedures for public tours for members of the community over the age of 18. Please check back in three to six months. |
